.
the stock suspension just looks wrong.
Let us know what you think of the ride and handling after you've had a chance to put some miles on your "new" car.
And congratulations -- very nice in every way.

The stock setting springs really make the car look like it "is the allroad jacked up version".
pw (and loved seeing my car in your post!)

The ride is much better than I expected based on previous experience with H&Rs. It is excellent over good roads. The shocks firm up quickly over larger more rapid irregularies and while not harsh it is not Cadilac smooth either. Don't get bone jarring/teeth rattling hits by any means (unless your wife drives over the monster speed bumps at the local mall like it was her SUV) but will be noticably firmer on poor roads.
I had some issues with scraping the the front/bottom of the car if you go too fast over the worst of speed bumps and over really large steep dips like going over the curb into our driveway but that has gone away after adjusting the front from -2.0" to -1.5" reduction in ride height from OE.
Of course there is a noticable payback in just about every realm of handling: much better turn in, practically no roll, greatly reduced brake dive, large reduction in understeer with the abiltity to work the rear slightly with light trail braking/drop throttle, much better control during transitions.
The car sticks like a leach in just about any conditions. Car tracks lazer straight on every road I have driven. And of course the car looks much better: more like a sports sedan than a sedan version of the allroad.
Ride is so subjective. Can say comparatively that is as good or better than a S8 on smooth roads and a little firmer on bad roads. I am currently running 34f/30r psi on 17" wheels so as they say "your results may very". At 37f/37r psi the ride was a little too firm for my taste over small sharp irregularities, but turn in pretty amazing for a front heavy awd car.
Roads in San Diego are generally pretty good, if you live somewhere where the roads resemble the roads heading north out of Kuwait after the Gulf War you may do better with the stock springs and some Bilstein HDs.

Much more subtle than slapping on pair of those beautiful 20" HREs (and cheaper too), so I can save for a down payment on the RS6 (yea right) Besides, my car was too dirty to take pics of the week before we had the front taken back up to -1.5"..... had lousy weather down here (relative term: in San Diego it means you may want to wear long pants if you go golfing
