Bentley (eBahn) problem

When I ordered my VAG-COM from www.ross-tech.com, I ordered the Bently manual along with it. They arrived earlier in the week, and I just got around to installing Bentley on my laptop. Unfortunately when I go to "activate" it, it tells me "The Serial Number you provided has been previously registered. " Of course, being Sunday, I can't contact them to fix it.
Anyone else have this particular problem with eBahn?

I had to call the Bentley help desk with an activation problem when I re-imaged this laptop, and while they were reasonably helpful, it was a time-consuming PITA.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

If Bently didn't have a monopoly on this manual, I'd buy it elsewhere, even if it cost much more. Since they have the monopoly they treat their customers like they are annoyances rather than customers. Call them Monday and give them an earful on what you think of thier activation process!!!

So until I can get my Bentley running (on Monday, it would seem) can anyone shed any light on removing the rear caliper? I got the rebuild/seal kit locally, and was going to take the calipers off to work on them.
I need to disconnect the brake line, but I'm afraid of twisting the rubber hose too much- is there a trick to it? Also, I can't figure how to get the spring off the parking brake mechanism. This should be easy, I know, but I'm paranoid about breaking something.
Otherwise I'm stuck waiting till next weekend to take care of this. Damned Bentley...
Thanks for humoring my beginner's questions...

it took almost a month to get the Bentley working again. As Jim said, I also got good service from their helpdesk, but "it was a time-consuming PITA".

It was surprisingly painless. They answered right away, and the rep was able to give me a new code in just a few minutes. (Only explanation was that "there was a problem with that old serial number").
Filled out the page of info, hit "register" and it sat there for an hour while I was at lunch. Retried a few times, and then tried it without the optional portion- creating an account on their website- and it took about 3 seconds to register and come up.
Now if only it actually told me how to go about removing the brake hose and parking brake cable from the caliper, I'd be all set. Maybe I'll just see if I can do the rebuild with it still attached to the car...
