Default You don't have to hook up the GALA

If you have an 01, you need to hook up CAN wires. If you have an 02 or 03, you need to do nothing but use a plug and play wiring harness.

GALA is built into the CAN bus on the facelift cars.

And I don't think the A8/S8 faceplate changed colors from 01 to 02/03, it still won't match perfectly, but you'll never know.

Default The A4 faceplate fits almost perfectly with about 20 minutes of work

Just take the chrome strip off the bottom, and cut the piece that it attaches to off and you're done. Round the top corners too.

Default Doh! Just figured that one out!

I got in the car excited thinking it would match, oh well. Hmmm, no gala. Why do the write-ups say for symphony II that gala needs to tapped behind the cluster? I guess I'll find out 'cause I am installing mine again now.

Partly incompatible DIS. Use the search and look for posts from PaulW regarding this very subject.

Don't know what you are talking about.

I like my RNS D and they're pretty cheap now. RNS E is advanced if you want to spend more money.
