Take a look at this link:
<a href="http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2452217811&category=23 009">A8 bi-xenon rebuild kit</a>
Seems this is just a lense that "opens" the shutter on the xenon to give you high-beam xenons in the same unit as the low beam. Normal high-beam will of course work as before.
Is this as straightforward as it looks? Me tempted!
BTW, there is a set of clear glass original bi-xenon's there as well, for you lucky guys with facelifted D2's.

replacement for the existing projectors in the 1997-1999 D2 A8! The lens assemblies on the bi-xenon unit are a lot bigger than the stock lenses, and WILL NOT fit into the headlight bucket the way they are. I am designing an adapter to fit the old lenses onto the new projectors as well as adapt the different mounting hole patterns. If it works, I'll post a procedure and drawings. See my picture poster for several photos of these bi-xenon projectors.

Do you know if yours differ from the euro-spec xenons?
The seller obviously tells me that this should work.
Thanks!

projectors in the US models. Since the Euro headlight glass fits the US headlight buckets 100% (thanks for the part numbers a while ago) I wuill assume that the reast of the assembly is essentially the same. The person I purchased the bi-xenon projectors from also promised they would fit an A8. The only D2 A8 that I'm aware of that these would drop right into is the Euro W12 A8. Look at your headlights and see what relative size your projector lens appears to be:

Let me know what you find!

When I did the swap out from my stock Halogens to stock xenons from a 98, I changed the reflector and it was like for like size, but it had a half shutter type thing on the top side.
So I would be careful about buying those bixenons, probably have the same problem that skiracer is having.
