Default Blocked catalytic converter?

After exhausting all leads from this forum and having no faults show up on Audi test scanner, the suggestion as to why my car has lost its "zip" has been that the catalytic converters could be blocked. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how this could be effectively tested? For history on thi 13 month old problem see threads under Ozie.

Default Re: Blocked catalytic converter?

You can do a back pressure test on the cats. There is usually a thin pipe that will extend up from the exhuast pipe with a blue plug on the top of it that you can put a pressure guage on to test if there is too much back pressure.
