I installed a Basslink in the trunk using the speaker output from the rear speakers (speaker input used). Question no.1, which wire is the neg and which is the pos? Usually, the smaller connector is negative and striped wire is negative but it is backwards. Question no.2, when I turn off the radio, the Basslink makes low "very loud" bass and stays that way until I disconnect the speaker input wires. Am I missing something? I disconnected one speaker and it is ok. The unit works great on my other vehicle.

first of all how is the bass from the basslink!

2nd that. There is "pre amp level" at the amp. Just patch into them. Will sound cleaner.

Pretty hot.... I am going to get the hi-low adaptor and plug the RCAs to it.

i was looking at installing a basslink II in the trunk but installer recomended that i go with a seperate amp + sub combo... he said something about the trunk being soundproofed adn so the bass wouldnt really be thumpin
