Default Bought switchblade remote, programmed it, and

had a new key cut. Is that all that is required? I'm a little freaked about A8-011-Rover's experience with the computer lockout when using a new key.

Default that is all there is to it

Should be real simple. That is all I did with my two and haven't had a problem.

If you have a 99 and older, you don't need to get it coded, if you have newer, you will

Default Yes, but you will need the secret code

I wrote the basic procedure in one of your ECU posts below. The Bently describes it, only the dealer has the secret code.

Ok, I thought that code was for the ECU not the key.

You will need the ECU number to code the key though!
