I just replaced my front and rear brake pads with Hawk HPS's and new slotted/dimpled rotors and my Brake Pad warning light came on this morning after a total of only 200 miles?? Has anyone experienced this? Should I check the pads or just erase the code with VAG?
Thanks, Chris

VAG-COM has nothing to do with this.
Making sure all four pad-pins (two per side) make good permanent contact inside the plugs on the car is all you need. After a shutdown -> restart of the car the warninglight will be gone and stay away.
By bending the pins very gently in the male-plug on the pad-side, the pins will rub the inside of the female-plug on the car and keep doing so. Also clean the inside of the plugs (car-side) free of corrosion.
Simple but effective.
