Brake Rotor Question?

Brake Rotor Question?
Any thoughts on cryo treating rotors? Had this done on my SHO and liked the results. However it was expensive. Was also looking at the TireRack and saw that they have Brembo rotors that can directly replace the OME rotors. Any thoughts on these or are the stock better or are they just more $$$.

Re: Cyro treated rotors
.
I've never tried them, but from what I've read, results are luke warm (no pun intended) at best.
This <A HREF="http://corner-carvers.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6054">Corners Carver's thread</a> asks the same question; and with more rigorous testing, this <A HREF="http://www.teamscr.com/rotors.htm">TeamSCR page</a> claims absolutely no difference.
For myself, I have a hard time imagining the benefit of cyrogenic treatment when after one hard use, you've heated the rotor up to 1000 oF (or whatever) and cooled it back down to ambient in a totally uncontrolled manner. Wouldn't his undo any cold treatment?
In the end, the rotor is really a disposable item, but better rotors are more stable under severe service. The Brembo's available from TireRack are probably a mid-quality rotor, and I expect they're worth the money.

Cryo treated vacuum tubes work magic....
one (with sensitive ears) would not believe the difference cryoed vacuum tubes make - not to mention the life extension. I also get all my cables cryoed.
here is my graaf 200 with cryoed tubes - all 40 of them!

that nice glow.... and that nice sound....

here the whole system - consisting of 54 tubes.

does nothing for performance, but may prevent warping
I was going to cryo the fronts on my 2000 A8. The only reason that I had was that the A8 rotors tend to warp, as mine have several times. I just got sick of the whole thing, and I thought that the cryo treatment would aleviate the problem. A8's are known to chew through front rotors, and the 2000 and newer are wicked expensive. So I figured I might be able to get a little more life out of them
