Default What PaulW said and

The mix up you are thinking of is for 00/01 A8's which had two different rotor sizes; later 01's have 323mm rotors. And just a forewarning, drilled rotors make noise once they are hot.

The 01 S8 brake rotor for the front are 345x40mm and the rears are 280x22mm (dont hold me to it though, this is what I found out when I bought rotors for my 01)

Default You're right about the S8 ... A8, A8L, and S8 are all different.

A8 ....... 312/245
A8L ...... 323/269
S8 ....... 345/280
My S8 .. 355/298 :-)
