Brakes started grinding yesterday
I never got a brake pad warning light, so I didn't know what was going on. Pull the tires and both outer pads were down to metal, while the inner pads looked less than 1/2 used! Looking closer, it appears the calipers float on 2 pins, yet neither caliper would budge. I'm guessing the last pad change didn't include a good greasing of those pins and the calipers froze up, allowing only the inner piston pad to retract. So, new pads and rotors will be going in tonight. Does this sound right, or is there something else I should take a look at?

Re: Brakes started grinding yesterday
The pad and rotor change will not fix the problem. I would see if you can grease up the pins, if not order new pins. Basically the caliper is not returning to its original position therefore keeping constant pressure on the outside pads.. Note: the outside pads do not have the sensor on them, thats why no indicator light was triggered
