Default Buenos Aires, thought you guys might enjoy

All I can say is WOW!!! The place is AWESOME!

It's about 12 million people, the city goes on, and on, and on.....we walked about 10 miles a day, never left the city and was there for 7 nights.

The best part: The exchange rate. 1 USD = 3.14 Peso. Things cost about the same in Peso's as they cost in dollars in the US, so everything is about 33%-40% the cost of what it is in the states.

Wine is about $1/bottle at the supermarket (yes, we bought a 2 peso bottle of wine) up to $30, which would be almost 100 pesos.....

Most of it was 8-20 pesos per bottle.....

Now the pics.....

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1421.JPG">

We stayed in Palermo Soho, which is the artsie neighborhood, very much like Soho Manhattan....our room was small, but it's in a huge city, we did have a king size bed.

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1427.JPG">

We had the room on the left with the balcony....you can see the roof top deck above it....

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1635.JPG">

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1636.JPG">

Here is the roof top deck, they had breakfast up there every morning...

And a small courtyard, Kimberly is walking to our room on the right:

Pasta shops, wine shops, food shops everywhere....

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1438.JPG">

Dogs everywhere, here is a dog walker....none of them are agressive if you can believe that.....

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1442.JPG">

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1443.JPG">

Just one of the many parks....pan from left to right....

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1446.JPG">

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1447.JPG">

Tons of kids just outside of the cemetary....it was the first day of spring....never seen so many teenagers with no adults....

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1450.JPG">

Cemetary in the middle of town, Evita is buried here with many others, two funerals were going on during our stay....and a lot of cats live there, probably because no dogs are allowed.

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1451.JPG">

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1452.JPG">

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_IMG_1456.JPG">

Those are caskets you see, and they all have lower levels with more caskets....

Default Looks great Paul-We saw a lot of dogs in Athens as well but they were

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/96745/cat1.jpg"></center><p>
troublesome particulally in the hills.
A monestary we visited used to have five donkeys and the man working on the excavation site said now we have four.
They believe the dogs killed the other.
We became nervous after that while walking through the olive groves.
There were cats on the Islands and less dogs thankfully.-Loads of donkeys.
Did the city feel safe at night??

Default Darn, now I'm hungry!! Did you notice that for all the constant eating the walking

compensates and you actually end up losing weight?

You had a blast, I can see.

With the weaker USD, Latin America &amp; the Carribean are now our prime destinations; no more Canada, some Europe (we're from there), but the rest is down under in the Hemisphere, baby!
