Default A/C problems

off late my a/c seems to be confused... the air flow is warm... like the compressor has switched off and all of a sudden cool air flows in ... then the cycle continues. Ive tried dropin te temperatuve to "LO" and still no improvement.

this only happens while im idleing and not shile driving and it happens occasionally in the afternoons when the temperatuces are soaring... but previous experience has learned me that small things like this are a prelude of dark days ahead....

Oh yeah ... and i just debadged my car...pics as soon as i figure out hw this digicam works...

Default Fix the fan problem and this may go away

If it's shutting down the compressor due to high refrigerant pressure.

Default Refrigerant pressure goes up faster than coolant temperature, if low airflow is the problem

... which it could be if, for example, your electric fan works on only the slowest speed. It sounds like an airflow problem because it doesn't happen when driving. Anyway, there are multiple reasons for the compressor to shut off -- low or high refrigerant pressure, coolant temperature, low outdoor temperature readings, etc. -- and I'm not going to guess at them any more. One of the measuring blocks in the AC control records why the compressor was shut off. If that doesn't say why, it becomes an ordinary electrical troubleshooting job.

Did you actually have to tap the electric fan motor to make it work? If so, I wonder if it runs correctly.
