Cabin pollen filter air flow
Hi All,
Just picked up a pair of genuine pollen filters and changed them.
I am not sure though the ones in there were fitted the right way round.
Should the airflow arrow point down towards the engine or up towards the bonnet/hood?
Have looked everywhere for answers
Thank you!

Well the airflow direction is from the engine bay area (actually the plenum area) up into the cavity within the bonnet on both sides, then down into the HVAC airbox in the centre of the plenum. The HVAC then mixes heating and cooling and distributes the air through the cabin.
So based on that the airflow direction for the filter is UP (into the bonnet).

Fantastic, I thought as much. The ones in the car I took out were in the wrong way.
It's an unusual design ... I actually didn't spot them in the bonnet for a good hour ... Was looking in glove box, under dash and everything before locating them.
Thank you!

No problem!
Although the mounting and airflow for the HVAC is a little unusual, it seems to work well.
I rarely if ever get engine bay smells into the cabin.
As you called it a bonnet first and a hood second, which country do you come from?
