Anybody know the option code for the PIE wheels? I looked and can not locate an options page.
I am bidding on a 00 Ming Blue (same color as my 97) with Ecru tomorrow. This car is loaded but I can not tell if it's got PIE wheels. I would prefer the PIE as at least the 00 will look a little different than my 97. I am sure to have people make fun if I buy the exact same car.
It's loaded with CAS, PAW, PX3, PNK (Nav), QTR, 3FE, and 7X2 (Parking Assist). Where the heck can I find all of these codes.

and exclaim "this is a *nice* car!".
Made me feel good.
These were non-car people, who really had no idea what they were looking at.

The car was being wholesaled out for $13.5k. I called and they said it was a misprint and it should be $14.5k. I have no idea what it sold for as it was wholesaled out before going to Manheim today. I had an offer it if the $13.5k was correct ready to wire money into the account. Oh well, 2000s are in the 15-17k range and a very good buy at this price.
You dont get to see a picture of the car, you just get the VIN. You can call to get options and look up the car fax but you are gambling to some degree. At $13.5k, if it was not what I wanted, I could always turn around and sell it. I am watching another Ming Blue 2000 with 52k that did not sell at $16.5 last week. I am going to offer a little more than the amount next week. It's kind of a wait and see game.
I saw an 02 Jag XJ8 with the Sport Package that has the XJR wheels with 68k miles for $18k. A gorgeous car and an awesome buy but not a great Midwest winter car. Also, the Jag looks flashier than an A8 when you take clients to lunch.
