Default Is this the "Service" reminder?
If so, I think you can re-set it with the computer interface in the center console in front of the cup holder.

I'll check later today.

The short answer is no. Vag com or dealer tool is the only way, unfortunately.

Should be in the owners manual...I thought it was listed in the A6's as to how to reset the reminder

Default JimR is correct
The Service I and Service II has to be reset by using a Vac Com as well
