My carfax ran out the day before yesterday. A google search makes that car sound dicey though. It was selling for $3500 in September according to one forum post.

yeah, im really suspicious of it too...
the dude was advertising it on my local lancaster PA craigslist but said the transaction is thru simpleasolutions.com...who are apparently in TX and Toronto. Im siding with scam here...unless i can SEE the car and DRIVE the car and hand him $3500 cash, forget it.

the VIN in google brings up a 7 series in Houston TX, not a 323i
then i also found THIS site:

this is some very interesting reading about fake escrow companies that are apparently on the rise.
i did a search of the page and that same VIN came up. just goes to show you...too good to be true...ALWAYS
