Default I've done a few mods

Here's my car before H&R's, you could build a house on the front wheel:

And after:

Plus I've done a bunch of other stuff, but here's the performance mods, I put Porsch 996 TT calipers on the front with 993 TT rotors. They work flawlessly.

An A8 with these two mods with a set of 245 width high performance tires and track pads will outpeform almost all other Audi's on at a track event, espeically when on a large track.

Go for the A8!

Default Hey paul i got a few questions?

How are those H&R's working for you. How much better than the S8's are they? Also those brakes are great, got a link as to where i could get a set. If I do do you think I could put the front breaks+rotors fromy my S8 on the rear?

Default Re: Hey paul i got a few questions?

The H&R's are just awesome. However, they can get a little rough sometimes, when the roads are bad. I've had mine for about 1.3 years, and I don't know, but they might be getting just a tad bit stiffer 'cause they are wearing?

I think you would see a noticable improvement in handling.

Anyway, the car sits much lower (even compared to the S8 suspension) and it looks so cool!

Here's an S8 with H&R's installed:

I'm telling you, instead of letting my car nickel and dime me to death, I bet I will buy a S8 in 1.5 years or so and the one mod I would do right away is to install H&R's.

As far as the brakes go, you might be able to retrofit the calipers to your rotors, but right now your rotors have a larger OD than the Porsche. The 993 TT rotors are 332 mm O.D. and I think the S4 are somewhere around 345 mm O.D.

Plus, your mounting bracket is built into the strut assembly, I had to have custom built brackets, but your S8 strut is made for it. It might bolt right up, but essentially your caliper is the same as mine except it's not a monoblock (1 piece). I don't know if it's worth the $1300 for new ones.

Here's the S8 caliper:

Here's the S8 mounting configuration:

Here's the custom bracket to get my Porsche calipers on:

You couldn't put your fronts on the rears, the rotors are way too big for how much braking you need back there, and getting the calipers on would be an engineering task. Plus you wouldn't have your parking brake anymore.
