I had to bring my car in for the wierd accelerator pedal not stopping and also the recall issue. Got free loaner car.
I will post the end result what it was and how they are reacting to the recall.

1. Recal has been done. They have replaced both lower control arms under recal campaign and performed alignment.
2. Throttle issue. Housing was dirty and did not show a sign of cable wear (at least they couldn't see it). Cleaned housing and see how it is. If problem persists, replacing cable.

2. did you need to bring in the letter? i never got one from audi...

2. No Need. They had a record of my car based on the VIN. Most of the vehicle effected by this recall is A4 and very few A8's.
