caramel interior in S 8
I received a call from my dealer( Bill Cook ) that the caramel interior has been removed as an option for the 2001's. I have an order placed for a Green S8 with caramel interior. The factory had agreed to do that combo as a special order. Now thew won't do the interior color at all.
Anyone else aware of this or is my dealer just blowing smoke

The caramel has a lot of orange in it. Not avail with green ext.
The car would look like a pumpkin. Like the old terra cotta int, green ext. on the A6 a few years ago.
I am looking at the guide right now.
With green ext. you can have, black, ecru, and platinum int.
With the caramel int. you can have, ming blue, brilliant black, ebony pearl, and melange ext.
Your dealer may be reluctant to order the caramel int. due to to it's love it or hate it nature. If you back out for any reason.....
I have sold the black and caramel combo and think it is smashing. It's like the orangey tan you see on some english saddle leather.

Are you dead set on green exterior? Here's what you'll be missing...

This doesn't look like the A8 caramel color ...
I know the picture is from an A4, but the color of A8's caramel interior is not quite as ornage as shown in this picture. I've seen it with the Ebony pearl black exterior and it's just great.

C'mon April...
75% of all Ferraris come delivered with Red on Tan leather, and the tan in those cars are so orange they look like one big manilla envelope.. LOL... I don't hear too many people knocking how Ferrari's look ugly...

Didn't say it was ugly. The green/caramel combo is very LOUD
Loud in a Ferrari is expected. Guess Audi feels that green/caramel would not be an obvious choice. Perhaps you have seen the green/terra cotta A6 combo ? The people who loved it enough to buy it, were a select few.
