Default ummm

how did they get a big enough radiator in there?

what differential did they use? the stock one will die.

How did they strengthen the subframe so the torque wouldn't break stuff?

Haha, I have talked with that owner as well. He was at a few cars shows I also attended.

Default Its a custom fabricated radiator. They are planning on having it manufactured.

The stock rear end is on there now and he was explaining to me the weakness is in one of the pins in the diff. He said definitely with the 600HP, they would need a new rear end. As for the subframe, he said that there hasn't been any flex at all. I dunno what the increased HP would do though. A lot of E36 tuners with turbo M3s do fine with the stock structure and they run like 450HP.

Default He said "the engine and tranny weigh about the same as the 323"??? Kinda heavy...

I know what you meant, but I have to believe a GM V8 is a good bit heavier than a BMW I6, eh?

Actually, I think the LS1 is 60lbs lighter due to the all aluminum block.

Default I'm not an advocate for them...but if you would have seen the installation in person, it was very

impressive. It is all seamless with full plug and play wiring into the stock BMW harnesses. The engine mounts are really well done as well as the radiator design. There is a surprisingly ample room in the engine bay...even enough for an intercooled supercharger!

Default Someone completed it !!@%(@!*%!@(_%*@!()_

The fitment of the exhaust and motor mounts is the holy grail. These guys have been working on the conversion for years and aren't there yet.

The LS1/LS6/LS2 Aluminum-based latest gen smallblocks are amazing motors.
