Just bought a 2001 S8 and need to sell my baby.
Excellent silver exterior and black interior. 18" wheels, Eibach sport springs, Bilstein shocks, S8 rear muffler w/ss tips, rebuilt transmission, new a/c evaporator. 174m miles. All fluids and filters changed religiously. The car is an 8.5-9 out of a possible 10. I know this isn't the classified forum, but.....

Where is the car? 174k miles? That scares me a tad, but not too bad... How long have you had the car?

I bought the car from the original owner about 4 yrs ago. He was in his 70's, German and meticulous. I'm 56 and just as meticulous as he was. Had the transmission rebuilt by European Transmissions @130m miles and have had the fluid changed every year. Oil and filter get changed every 5m mi w/Mobil 1 and Mahle filters. The interior is spotless.The paint is near perfect with the exception of a small crack in the rear bumper from backing into my daughter's Volvo 940. I've added 18" VW Phaeton wheels, Eibach sport springs, Bilstein sport shocks. There is a small oil leak that I havent found and it has the occassional "rattle" (at low idle) that has plagued other board members' 32 valve engines. Call me @678 575 3630 if you want more info. I would prefer to sell it to a fellow forum member for a fair price.

What was your experience with European Transmissions? They have a price online of about $2650 for the A8 transmission.
