at 79,600 miles. The light went on. The VAG-COM tells me that the d-side cat. was the problem. I called the dealer and asked what the warr. was for it and they said 70k but she said she will check with Audi and get back to me. I got a call two hours later telling me that they will cover it as long as I can bring it before 80k. I went there today and wrote it up at 79,734 and drove it home. The cat will be ordered and replaced by the end of this week.

BTW, I saw a great looking black 02, S8 w/ dark brown interior, Brabus 20" wheels (I know it is for MBZ) but looked HOT! It was the cutomer's car and was in mint condition. Cool car.

I thought emission related equipment was required to have a 100,000 mile warranty, and I'd assume cats were emission related.
