Default You can load .jpg files, and I tried a .gif file, but it did not work.

The Audi rings you see in the pic is a .jpg file that I uploaded to the Garmin.

Default I didn't take any pics, however..........

I'm going to install another unit in the 98 A8 next week, so if there any interest, I'll take some pictures and write down some pointers.

Default Sweet install-- quick question:

Sweet install!

Did you have to use an external antenna feed? My dash-mount Garmin has poor satellite reception from inside the car, as does my dash-placed XM antenna, so was assuming you'd have to use an external antenna. What did you use?

Thanks in advance,

TT

Default I think on my car only the center vent is controlled by the hot/cold wheel...

I'll have to check again today.

Default Re: solar glass on Warm Weather Package

Yep, that A8 has the Warm Weather package, with the Solar Sunroof. I assumed that all A8s had the solar guard glass, but it must just be those equipped with Warm Weather package, eh?

Thanks for the clarification.

Default Everything is inside the center vent including the antenna.

This A8 does not have the Warm Weather package, however I tried the gps in the 98 A8 which does have the Warm Weather package and it seamed to work fine. I guess I'll have to test a little more before I take it apart.

Default Driver side open/close wheel controls both the driver side and the center vent, and.......

The hot/cold wheel controls all three openings. If you take the vent out, you'll see.
