Default central locking

My central locking is dead.. Should i just go ahead and install third part central locking / alarm system? or would it screw up the electronics?

Default People have had the main air manifold simply become disconnected.

Aftermarket systems are all-electric, no? Audi uses a central vacuum pump and hoses which run all over the vehicle. If one pops off it's connector, it might ruin the vacuum quality to the whole car.

I'd start there.

I'm using a Linux machine nowadays, and can't fire up my Bentley CD for you, sorry.

I'm sure someone else can.

If I remember correctly, the pump is on the driver's side, near the rear tire?
