Central locking, remote and alarm failure

Central locking, remote and alarm failure
Please help me out, when I recently closed my car with the remote, I could not get it open after I came back. I thought that the batteries of my remote were empty and replaced them at a battery shop. Still no result, the car would not open. I took the risk to open it up with my key, but no alarm was going of. Also only the driver door opened, so the complete alarm and central locking is not working anymore. Anyone who could give me a clue what could be the problem, or where I should search for the problem?
Thanks a lot!

I had that happen once. Drove me nuts that night. I took apart the trunk to....
..... check if the plug to the alarm was loose ( since I was having problems with the lights blinking before this ). I unplugged it then plugged it back in and made sure it snapped into place. Never had a light flash or alarm working problem since. *quickly knocks on wood"

Problem solved
Well I found the problem. It was a leaking hydrolic tube at the rear back door. The air pressure system for the central locking lost its air and then somehow turns of the complete system that includes the central locking, the remote etc. After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and repairing the tube everything works fine now.

Thats odd. When I took my door apart to repair the door switch, I armed and disarmed the system....
... at least 20 times with the passenger side door latch taken out of the car. It was never an issue, and it was a serious leak in the system.
