Default check engine light update

Hello to all,
A few days ago I posted a a problem with my check engine light. Well, I thought some of you would get a kick out of this one or just maybe give me some suggestions. I took my 01 A8L to the dealer on yesterday and two hours later they said the problem was fixed and gave me the car back. Supposedly it was a vacuum hose leak. I got on the freeway and 15 min later the light came on again. Turned right around and took the car back. Well now it is Tuesday evening and the tech working on the car still doesn't know what the problem is. They told me that they have been on the phone with Audi to help them figure it out. All I can think of its how much this whole experience will cost me. Any suggestions or pointers?!?

Default I can't imagine owning Audis without one.

Even if I didn't do my own work.

Default it's air-flow/mix related. finding the exact spot can be tricky.

first time I had an engine light on and pulled the codes, Paul suggested the secondary air pump hose and that fixed it. then 3-4 days later it came back on. it would stay on for a couple of days and then off and then back on again. I drove it around for 30 days without taking it back to the dealer. last time they worked on it they replaced the MAF sensor.

(Funny that I had a K&N filter in but was under 6K miles so I hadn't ever taken it out to clean and apply oil to it..)

Default Me too. Stay on for four days then go out. Back 30 days later.

Finally refused to go out. Relay was going. Pump ran sometimes, sometimes not.
