Check out this 02 S8 - it's got everything an 03 has
This looks very cool, the color is great, has a new transmission installed and look at the options: OnStar (not that I would really want that), MFSW, telematics package. This is stuff that only came on 03's......interesting.

I see no parktronic sensors. So it doesn't have the nav/parktronic. Its hard to see the center console switches but it doesn't appear to have the rear sunshade control either.
Looking further at the photo gallery, you can see the rear console has no switches for heated seats - so there is no winter package on this car.
It may be a 'base' model late build.

I forgot the 02's also came with MFSW
For some reason, I thought it was only the 03's.
They really hacked the satilitte radio install on this one:

Look at the antenna on the the trunk, and then again it has the antenna on the roof. I love my car.....has no exposed antennas at all!

I would likely buy an 03 (black/camel) when the prices come down a bit more, then retrofit a solar sunroof. Mainly because I love the interior. I could do an '02 if it had the solar sunroof AND the MFSW.
I figure by the end of '08, the 03s should be in the mid to high teens. One of the ads in the autotrader listed the 03 wholesale at about $23.5K.

It musta been a parts-bin kinda thing cause most of the '02s I've seen have Sport wheel.
Like late VIN's or something, my guess.
At least that's what I THOUGHT I remember 8-).
