Default Check out my new garage and lift - what do you think?

Oh yea, look at this!

Oh, I wish. This is Gary Trucinski's garage, nice, huh? He has an office above it too! It's more like a living room. The car is on its way up, we could just walk underneath it.

So Gary and John Malecki and myself did both Gary's car and my car's transmission seal yesterday. 3 hours for Gary's car, 2 for mine.

John is a new owner of an A8, he lives in the same town as Gary and came over to lend a hand.

With Gary and John there, it was a lot of fun and very simple. Once again, meet 2 people you've never met before, have to be with them for 5 hours, and you'll end up with a lot of laughs and a great time.

I have more pictures, will put together a procedure very soon. If you don't have access to a lift, this could be a real PITA job. I wouldn't want to do it laying under the car.

A new trans seal? Or the lift? I think you want the lift! The seal is only $16!

Default How tall is the ceiling in there?

And is that a regular two car garage door or a really tall mechanics type door?

Default Tall garage door, it's at the "normal" garage door level there

It's basically a 2 story first floor, just awesome! Gary normally has his M3 sitting on the lift, raised up, and he parks his A8 underneath it!

Need to do mine still. Ugh. Or maybe it's the motor gasket.

Default My car made a bad stink and then would occasionally

throw some smoke from under the car around the B pillar. The hot Texas summer this year obviously made it very apparent. It never dripped oil onto the driveway.
