Default Easy follow-up: contact the lawyer mentioned in the Globe article

He's had some experience suing Audi. He'll be able to calculate likelihood of our success pretty handily, probably.

I'd bet the oil leaks from the front end of the engine are a contributing factor on belt life. Cannot say that with authority, but just suspect that all the gunk that leaks out of these engines cannot be good for a highly stressed rubber belt.

A service writer told me that my belt had been changed by previous owner. Now I am not so sure, but hope he was truthful. How can you REALLY tell if it was replaced?

My transmission crapped out @ 115m miles. There's NO excuse for this to happen on a high end automobile. My 1990 V8 had 236m miles on the odometer and the transmission was PERFECT.
