I've scoured all the previous posts at multiple sites and haven't found anything specific to the 3.7. I'm using PaulW's informative tech tip on coding and it does mention the '97 with non-tip. Yet I'm still having a problem with inputting ANY code to the tranny. Here's the scenario;

Launched Vag-com Pro and ran an auto looking for existing faults. Just a couple insignificant codes came up. Intermittent low voltage ABS, central locking pump on too long, old cheeseburger under front passengers seat... worked my way through the various screens and accessed the 02 tranny module and then the 07 Recode. From what I've read a code of 00002 should have appeared as the existing soft code. But my existing soft code was 00000 and the shop# was 00000 also. I entered the code 00012 and left the shop code 00000, hit the do-it and was back to the previous screen where the newly entered code should have shown up. Still 00000. I tried several more times to enter codes and use shop codes from other modules to no avail. I even tried to enter the stock 00002 code but it wouldn't take it. I was able to recode the central locking so I know that we were talking, but the tranny thing has me stumped! Anyone have a clue?

I know it won't take the other codes....

or it's 00010.

Try both, it will only take a valid code.

EscapA8 has the 3.7 and I have looked at his car before....I did recode it to either 00001 or 00010, can't remember which, but that's the coding for that car as I recall.

It took 00010... Don't notice any difference

Maybe a newbie question....but which code is it for the sport mode? I'd like to code mine as well.
