The color of your shocks?

Can you guys (and gals!) please have a look-see at the color of your shock absorbers? Being told by the stealer that the shocks on my old 3.7 sport are not OE cause they're blue in color rather than black, brown or orangey-brown? Another 8 over here in the UK has blue too. The ride on our 8 is auwful and I dont want to waste £1000+ changing stuff for no improvement.

There were very few non-quattro cars brought over here, and I think they're all '97s. There were 3.7s.
It would seem reasonable that non-q 3.7s might have a different suspension from a 4.2q.
