Thanks guys. The stealers over here are telling me that OE was never blue. I guess that's because all the mechanics over here are aged about 12yrs old, and they were'nt around when these early 8's were serviced at the offial Audi sites. I must be one of the few who with such an old car still go to Audi. The annaul expence is prolly 50% of the cars value :-(

Seems that the 96-97 cars may have had blue shocks. by the time you get to 98 there all on black. Even the 4.2 of 96-97 are blue.
I have been in a couple of S8's and the setup in them is far, far softer than my old 3.7 sport...
