work properly with the bi-xenon projector. I've designed an adapter, but have not had the time to fabricate it or try it out. I still would love to get the bi's to work, but for now I've purchased stock D2 HID projectors and am using them with the HID parts from the bi-xenon assemblies.

So with a 98 A8, you can keep the original Halogen buckets and simply replace the projectors, bulbs and add the balasts? Do these still plug into the existing harness directly? I am assuming the high beams remain untouched using the halogen assembly?

to run the high voltage line through, but that is it. The HID projectors screw in as direct replacements for the halogen reflectors. The rest of the headlight assembly stays the same, including the high beam and the fog light. I would say that if you have all the parts you can replace the halogen projector with a HID setup in around an hour or so. The headlight assemblies come out really easily, and access to the projector is pretty good. Be sure you have a full set of torx bits including the tamper proof bits before starting, since some of the fittings may be of that type. If you want, I can post or email you some more photos that may be of some help.
