Default Continued "Cracked Axle" and DTC's thread from below.

Thanks guys.

Always overcharged - What do you mean by blocked flow, i.e. debris in my intake?

Could Lean DTC be a result of fuel pump going? The Lean DTC occurs when I start the car almost immediatel after putting the key in. Do you think this could be a fuel pump issue, not giving the fuel pump enough time to get gas to the injectors, thus resulting in lean combustion and throwing a code? I cleared the code last week and it didn't come back until this morning when I pumped gas and imediately started the car when I got back in.

At what point does everyone change their fuel pump? I did change my Fuel Filter at 75k miles or so. I believe the pump is original.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a8/msgs/145348.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/a8/msgs/145348.phtml</a</li></ul>

Default Axle update - I checked out my axle this weekend, and its clean as a whistle. I think ...

...these guys destroyed my CV joint and they dont want to pay for it, so they make up a story about my axle hoping they can recover their loss.

Default Lean code on pre facelifts

Most likely you have an air leak down stream of the MAF....post the code.

If it's a long term lean code, then it could be the intake manifold gasket leaking or (I think?) injector o-rings possibly leaking.

Marco had this problem and fixed it.....can't remember his user name exactly.....he hasn't been around for a LONG time....I would search for your code on the D2 forum. If you get any hits with Marco's post, search using his ID.

Default Found the posts on the ACV. I did notice one thing, when I changed my TPS....

I noticed that when I looked at the little (1/8"?)(vacuum?) hoses that are connected in the back of the intake valve, there was a unusual molded fitting (a couple of T's) and at the joint, it looked like there were some small cracks. This part is original and I knew it was a matter of time before having to change it out. Can anyone look up the part number along with the intake valve gasket for me in Bentley? This could be the culprit. Another hint might be that my cruise control is no longer working.

Default

Anyone know the P/N for the vacuum lines and fittings coming off the back of the throttle body?
