Hi all,

I've recently bought a VAG Scanner to scan my 2001 Audi A8 (4D2 AKC) for problems and one of them that attracted my attention was :

01320 - Control Module for Climatronic (J255) Sporadic - No communication

Well I did some googling and according to this website : http://www.audi-portal.com/en/diagnostic/ecu_10629.html

my model doesn't have Climatronic? I disconnected the stock Symphony radio and placed an aftermarket one in so I left the CAN bus connections disconnected. I wonder if that affects anything?

I also hear a weird repetitive whirring and slight thud sound when I leave my key on Ignition... the sound is also audible from the engine bay.

The climate head is the control module. When you start getting no communications, that means the module is going bad in most cases. If it was a can data bus error it would be loss of communication for other modules as well.
