Default Could someone with Bi-Xenons post how they look when on?

I don't need the head-on view, really, just to understand which part of the headlight unit illuminates in the regular (everyday, DLR)scale, and how it differs from the standard Xenons.

I don't have a photo of my lights turned on but is there a question I might answer about how they function?

Default I've only seen them in photos with lights off, so I can't judge how the

light pattern appears when the lights are on. For instance, which of the projectors lights up at the standard-beam setting? How does the other projector (or both) look when you select the high-beam?

Also, is the illumination provided that much superior to justify the extra cost (not trivial) to replace the standard Xenons?

Thanks!

Default If you drive at speed when it's dark, the improvement is considerable.

I did a side-by-side comparison and there is a noticeable improvement. Quite a different set up from stock. When parking lights are turned on, in addition to the side markers being lit, the small projector lights also light up. In general; more light, better reflection and dazzling high beams.

Here's a pic of stock vs. bi-xenons w/ parking lights on. Hope it helps!

Default Re: Here's how they work

There are no projectors in them, they have a replector and two segregated halogen bulbs. One Halogen is the 4 W bulb in the upper corner that comes on with parking lights. The other Halogen is the high beam. The "bi" in Bi-Xenon comes from the fact that the Xenon bulb increases output when the stalk is in the HIGH BEAM position. On the US lights the Xenon stays on in the High beam position but does not increase in output.
