Default Cowl Drain(s)

I have been having some condensation problems when wet weather turns cold here in southwestern Ontario due to water not draining from the cowl area. This weekend I tried in vain to locate the drain hose in the wheel well. Pulled the plastic liner but there wasn't anything under there. The previous owner had to have stored the car outside since there was a large quantity of small leaves and dirt which I have already tried to removed but after pouring water into the cowl area the tubes are still totally blocked and absolutley no water is draining. Does anyone know where the inlet and outlets for the drains are? This has been my only issue with this great vehicle!

Default Outlets are in the wheel wells.

I don't think you can see the inlets. They're on either side of the front firewall / air intake area.

audipages has a nice procedure for cleaning the AC condensate drains, BTW. This is another common clogged drain problem. Sunroof clogged drains is another.

Nice pic of the cowl drain here. Thanks Paul!

Default Re: Outlets are in the wheel wells.

Am I blind or are there any other outlets? I had the wheel off and the plastic liner undone and I just went outside to have another look!!!!!!!

Default Dunno, my knowledge on this is virtual, I've never had the problem.

Default Simply look directly above your front tire, and slightly to the rear. They fill with ...

bits of tire, road tar, and leaves. Pinch them .. roll them between your fingers, and water will come bursting out, with the gunk.
