Default Cracked Gearbox Filter

It was certainly worth changing the oil and filter - much quieter now.

Default Wow- I've not seen that one before. A crack like that could easily ingest air into the fluid...
causing all kinds of noise and possibly damage! Good thing you had it looked at.

What kind of noise did you notice... after i Audi did mine ive had a noise ever since.

as the gearbox worked up through the gears. Silent now.

Mine sounds almost like a power steering pump low on fluid

I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that your fluid level is low. Improper fill procedure?
