I have a new cruise control switch to install on 97 A8. Are there instructions anywhere to make this an easy project?

I'm assuming the steering wheel must be removed and I've lost my Bentley CD.

With mine that I can't turn it off, then turn it on and have it work. I must touch the brake brake before it will turn on.

I can:

turn it off with the brake, then resume
turn it off with the brake, turn the switch off, turn it back on.
turn it off with the switch, brake, turn it on
turn it off with the switch, turn it on and then brake.

Any of those sequences will allow the cruise to be set at speed.

Thanks, Paul. Unfortunately I am on a slow dialup at the lake house and the pics only download partially. Will have to wait until I get back to cable. That's the least of my problems. My damn rear window is stuck and I need to pull the panel off to disengage window from motor. Any hints on removing panel?
