cv joint circlip spec
can anyone tell me what the dimension of the circlip is inside the CV joint? There wasn't a clip inside my boot kit, and I'd rather not have to drive all the way out to the stealership in order to overpay for a single circlip.
When I pulled the joint from the axle, the existing circlip sproinged away to join my odd socks and Bic pens.

Bentley's says "always replace" anyway
and I understand why - pressing the joint off the axle can't be at all good for the circlip.
Good news is, the joint itself appears to be in good shape and doesn't need replacing.

circlip is included in OEM boot kit, but not Advance Auto
also the axle bolt and a dished washer are included in the official Audi CV joint boot kit but not in the one sold by Advance Auto. Something to be aware of...
