CV Joints

Ignoring the question of why my '97 A8 with less than 60K would split both front CV covers - what's going cost for new/rebuilt axles. Anyone with experience with these 'bad boys'?

Reman Axles cost around $125 TO $150 with core with parts discounters.

A repair kit is about $35/axle which has the boot, clamps, grease and axle nut.

I have never been able to find locally. Raxles is about $175 plus shipping and CV's are brand new
