Default Well the guy I bought it from did call it the pimp mobile! ...

It had silver along the bottom of the door too with black Audi rings.
I know I got some old video of it on 8mm. I always wanted to restore the car, but after a big limb fell on it after a blizzard in CO i kinda gave it up. Sold it to a guy that was doing a turbo conversion on a 4000 Quattro.
Now I'm going to have to look for that 8mm tape!

Britt

Default Nope! Alcantara Seat inserts were an option in '87 and '88....

....on 5tkq's ONLY. I've owned two of them in my day (one wagon, one sedan).

I think the B6 wheels are yucky, but easy to replace. :-)

That's nice, but I've decided on an '03 if I don't get a new Audi TDI this year... Plus I've never liked that Audi Green.
I now have to go back out and buy a tow dolly to tow the Jetta behind the MH. The wife wasn't satisfied with the ride quality of the new Saturn Aura, so it was traded today with 2400 miles for an 03 Cadillac Deville. She has her ride quality, I've got a cheaper payment and lower insurance. The Saturn was just about to go get the base plate installed for towing... Glad I move slow sometimes!

Default I sit corrected...who would have known!

I do believe that the leather in my 90 V8q is the thickest I've ever seen...after 18 years and 200+K miles, the drivers seat still looks like new...the leather on my S8 isn't nearly as thick.

Cheers,

Justin

01 //S8 w/thiner leather and Alcantara
90 V8q w/Thick *** leather and no Alcantara

I 'retrofitted' alcantera into my 87 5KCSTQ. The problem with the material (at least then) was that 5 years and the driver's seat was falling apart.

Makes me real leary of alcantera in an S8. Sure does velcro yer butt to the seat tho...

I wouldn't worry...I have it in my 01 S8 and after 7 years and 70k miles it still looks brand new.
