Sounds promising. Should I start searching for the MAF?

Default I put my MAF in today

It is better than my old one, or at least it seems to be, but anytime I'm in 4th or 5th gear at below 1200 RPM, it has hunted, just a little....nothing like the other one.

But it was spuradaic also.....so I need to drive some more.....going on a highway trip tomorrow, so I'll see what it does.

BTW, this was used out of 97, so who knows if it's good or not.....

Default Do me a favor..

Can you pull out the sencor out of the old one and tell me the bosch part number off the sensor. You need to get those 2 tamper proof screws off with a set of vice grips. I want to see if you have revision A or B

Default Lets see what i get on the road to and from work.

I wonder if the slight difference in part numbers is changing something.

Default Vice Grips??

Dude, you should have a set of tamper proof torx bits by now!

Because I have the cold air intake....it was easier (using your idea) to change out the MAF sensor then to change out the whole thing.

I just used my tamper proof torx set! ;-)

I did see that the old and new part number was the same.....it's in the garage (which is a 60 foot walk outside) and it's snowing hard.

Will post a picture tomorrow.

BTW, I just brought my kids home, and it is drastically better....will have to see if it drops out on the highway tomorrow.
