of course the battery was dead when i got to the garage today. i almost never drive during the week, and it got below zero many nights in NYC the past few days. so, garage attendant gives me a jump, all systems check, but radio won't turn on. i have the codes, but it won't even light up to let me punch them in.
anyone else face this? i turned the car off, turn it to the the "2" position like the manual says with new/jumped battery to let the engine management system re-set. ... car runs great. no radio though. thanks

There is an issue with software in radio, is the
radio illuminating dimly but won't turn on, if it is then Remove radio fuse and
reinstall, this will bring radio back to life.
Fuse box is down on right side of passengers
feet, see owners manual.

You have to pull the radio, then pull the fuse at the connectors in the back. That might work.
Never heard of this before on an A8.
