The debate of which is best - V1 or 8500 - answered at last.

Maybe it is time for me to sell my 8500 and upgrade my V1? Or give the 8500 to the wife.

Neither one works behind the low-e hot weather package glass!!!!

If you have the hot weather package, and you want ECM, then a remote mounted detector is the only option!

Most of the time, radar detectors just tell you that you just got nailed anyways.
