Description and Opinions of this color please.....
I would like to hear your opinions obout this color. How does it look on a sunny day? How does it look on a cloudy day? What is it called? How well does it show road rash on the nose? Are the spots really obvious?
Certain colors mask road rash better than others, like silvers and grays....

Oyster Grey...
My favorite Audi color. In fact, one of my all time favorite automotive colors in general.
It looks fantastic in the sun. There appears to be 2 different mica colors - grey and blue - in the paint that come out big time in full sun.
It's more muted on a cloudy day - but not in a bad way. More of a business suit.

Looks grey at night or on a cloudy day, but when the sun hits it looks blue. From past detailing experience, it probably won't show much in the way of road rash; not the way black will. I've seen that color many times on D3s, but did not know what the color was until Rtrn4Deposit's reply. Fine looking car, just make sure it's a late VIN.

Re: I just can't seem to make up my mind on a color to get....
Thanks Everyone for your comments. Black, blue, gray, silver....these are my choices. Black is awesome when clean, but shows everything and for a daily driver it might be too much maintenance. Blue is nice, I've seen northern blue metallic in person and it's very pretty. Gray is nice if it has some blue in it, or if it's very light...just a bit darker than silver in shade. Silver is a very forgiving color but my last 2 audis have been silver and I think I'm ready for a change. My wife and I are driving over to Chicago to look at a few cars in person this coming weekend. I wish there were some cars closer to me but "redneck" town Michigan doesn't seem to have any audis.
I welcome more opinions and real world experiences regarding colors...Thank You.
