Deteriorated hose on engine under covers. Economical solution

This is for anyone wishing to escape the +$40 Dealer replacement cost of the hose at the oil fill cap that "rots from the inside out". Go to any Autozone and ask for or order a #4107 hose. It is a heater hose with the correct approximate 95 degree angle on it. It fits well after removing a few inches from each end. However, the outside diameter is a little larger, so the factory "pinch-clamps" are too small to be re-used. Cost is about $5.50.

The front would be the least of my concerns. the two rears are the problem. I got lucky because my dealer quoted me $120 for the 3 hoses, but made the mistake of quoting me only 1 hour on the labor. Just lookimg at the drivers side rear breather, I figured it would take 2 hours and a six pack just to figure how to get the lower clamp off. As to the passenger side breather, I could not even see it from above .
If your front one is toast, then the 2 rears definitely are. Less breating room(more heat) back there.

I have followed posts on the board for a while, but did not know anything about the "rear" hoses. Thanks for bringing them up. Going to have to see what to do about them. Dealer parts prices are bad enough. If you add $100 a flat-rate hour to the parts prices, plus the standard "something else broke while we were doing it"(if they tell you), I get ill even saying the word "Dealer". I will go quite a bit out of my way to avoid that. Any who have advice please post. Thanks to all.
