Thats right, all depends how much you want to spend
I bought my 6k kit for just $92 @ NR auction, Buy It Now price I think was around $150. Kit is not bad at all, works just fine and has 3 years warranty on it. But claiming that warranty probably going to be a whole different story 
Really it is all about how much you want to spend on it, but at a $100 price I can change them every couple of years. And they will come down in price even more.
