Does front bumper have a plastic film on it? Something's "chipping"...

Default Does front bumper have a plastic film on it? Something's "chipping"...

..in the front left area that feels almost like a thin transparent film of sorts (not paint) that's coming off. It doesn't seem to be an added film, more likely part of the original piece. Everything's fine everywhere else.

Somehow I'd have a hard time convincing the dealer to replace the bumper for this minor (though noticeable) chipping, although still under original warranty.

Default Probably the clearcoat is peeling...

If there hasn't been an impact and it's still under warranty, I would definitely see the dealer about this. Peeling clearcost is similar to your skin when you get sunburnt and it starts peeling, about the same thickness and translucency (but crunchier). I know, kind of gross but it's what I thought of...
